Having previously danced with distinguished companies in both London and Russia, famous ballet dancer Sergei Polunin now performs around the world with leading ballet companies. Since his rise through the ballet ranks (becoming a Principal Dancer at the age of 19) Sergei has sought to expand into the realm of acting and other creative endeavours.
Sergei's story was the subject of the documentary feature film "Dancer" produced by Gabrielle Tana and he made his onscreen debut in Kenneth Branagh's Murder on the Orient Express, released in November 2017.
Sergei also was one of the 100 participants of Google camp 2018.
Sergei recently opened the "Sergei Polunin Foundation", a charitable body dedicated to finding young and underprivileged individuals, providing them with access to a professional dance education and encouraging and developing their creativity. The foundation's goal is to promote ballet and dancing to a wider audience by honouring traditional ballet whilst also combining it with the most cutting-edge approach.
